BK Ford is proud to have helped lead Ford Day November 19th at Texas State Technical College! We had over 200 students in attendance from Waco and University High School’s automotive programs as well as current TSTC automotive technology students. Representatives from Ford, Ford’s Diesel Division, as well as Ford’s Part supplier, Concho, were in attendance. Additionally, we had an amazing display of over 15 classic and brand-new Ford vehicles on display, from a classic 1960’s Bronco to brand new Mustang GTs, SuperDuty Platinums, and even a top fuel dragster!

Both high schools mentioned above now offer dual-credit courses with TSTC, and that TSTC courses can earn credit with Ford’s technician certification programs as well?  For individuals interested in the automotive space, the future is extremely bright and more attainable than ever!  With numerous educational programs available in both hands-on and online platforms, plus the support of local businesses to assist you in your training journey, achieving your certifications and accomplishing your goals can be done faster than ever before.  Bird-Kultgen hires interns, part-time positions, and full-time technician positions.  We are looking for enthusiastic students and candidates who are lifelong learners, enjoy tackling difficult projects, love building things and finding solutions, and are passionate about creating, selling and supporting innovative Ford products.

Those who joined us for Ford Day at Texas State Technical College heard from various Bird-Kultgen Ford employees who love to chat about the different automotive and technology related careers.  BK Ford is more than your local Waco dealership. We are a growing team of problem-solvers and do-ers; colleagues who are committed to giving back to their community and ensuring every friend and customer drives safely and confidently in their vehicles.

If you missed us on Ford Day, or would like to learn more about openings at BK Ford, visit our Careers Page to learn more about opportunities for our interns and recent graduates, as well as certified and experienced technicians. Additionally, you can check out a video recap of the event here.

Thanks so much to Waco ISD and TSTC for bringing their automotive students, fellow dealers Sykora Family Ford and Johnson Brothers Ford Lincoln for their help, and our partners at Ford Motor Company!

We are excited about the future of automotive technicians and can’t wait to work with these students some day!  We’d like to leave you with the following quote from Jack Kultgen from his time at TSTC,

“As fast as we can train automotive mechanics, there’s jobs waiting for them.”
