Duties

  • Diagnose concerns and perform repairs with efficiency in accordance with factory standards
  • Examine vehicle and determine if further work is required or recommended
  • Communicate with parts department and obtain needed parts
  • Coordinate with service advisors
  • Participate in Ford training programs, schools, and events
  • Work closely with our team of service managers
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience

  • Ability to understand safety documents, maintenance and operating instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Write reports and correspondence
  • Effectively present information to managers, customers, and teammates
  • Attention to detail, organized, superior time management

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associates degree or equivalent from 2 year college or technical school, or 6 months of related experience

Job Description

Want to be part of our winning team? Bird Kultgen is looking for an experienced, friendly, self motivated individual to join our Quick Lane team. As technician, you will use mechanical skills to performance maintenance and get customers back out on the road as quickly as possible!

Duties

  • Perform vehicle maintenance with efficiency in accordance with factory standards
  • Examine vehicle and determine if further work is required or recommended and assist service writers in selling needed services
  • Drain oil from crankcase and refill with proper type and about of oil, replace oil and fuel filters- Inspect fluid and air pressure levels, replace as needed
  • Ensure that customers' vehicles are kept clean
  • Maintain shop in very neat and clean manner
  • Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and operates all equipment in a safe manner, report any safety issues immediately to management
  • Coordinate with service advisors
  • Participate in Ford training programs, schools, and events
  • Document all work performed on the repair order
  • Work closely with our team of service managers
  • Other duties as assigned

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent desired
  • 6 months of related experience preferred

Job Description

Sells parts to all available customers, over the counter, to internal customers and through other means such as by phone and Internet.

Duties

  • Strong communication skills, friendly and knowledgeable
  • Flexible, willing, and able to deal with both retail, service and body shop customers
  • Maintain a professional appearance. Adhere to dress code
  • Prompt attendance required; excessive tardiness is not acceptable
  • Utilize selling techniques and demonstrate proper phone skills
  • Maintain all Ford required training
  • Responsible for accurately charging out parts and completing a sale
  • Responsible for receiving returns from customers and correctly providing credit
  • Demonstrate ability to take in money and give change
  • Organizational skills needed to keep inventory straight and neat and put parts in their correct location
  • Keep your work area neat and work with others to keep the department clean
  • Advise Parts management when an inventory quantity is incorrect
  • Do your best to work with unhappy customers and ask for help if unable to resolve the issue
  • Possess a sense of urgency to minimize customer downtime
  • Possess precision to get the customer the correct part the first time; use tools necessary to look up parts with utmost accuracy

Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills
  • Must have a driver’s license and a good driving record
  • Must pass a physical exam and background checks
  • Basic understanding of automobiles and parts, a plus
