The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado is available in the WT, Custom, LT, RST, Custom Trail Boss, LTZ, LT Trail Boss, High Country, and ZR2 trims. Trail Boss models are off-road-oriented variants, while the ZR2 has specialized high-performance off-road equipment.

Performance and Power

Most F-150 and Silverado trims come standard with rear-wheel drive and optional four-wheel drive. Off-road specialized trims feature four-wheel drive as standard.

Ford F-150

With the 2024 Ford F-150, buyers can choose six cutting-edge engine options, each with a smooth-shifting 10-speed automatic transmission. First up is a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V-6 that delivers 325 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. An available 400-horsepower 5.0-liter V-8 makes 410 lb-ft of torque. There’s also a 3.5-liter V-6 turbo that delivers 400 horsepower and a torque of 510 lb-ft.

Ford’s PowerBoost hybrid powertrain combines the 3.5-liter turbo with an electric motor and a battery pack to generate 430 horsepower and 570 lb-ft of torque. The F-150 Raptor with the 3.5-liter V-6 turbo delivers 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque.

These formidable engines, innovative features and a class-leading towing capacity of up to 13,500 pounds, contribute to the F-150’s reputation as a powerhouse on the road.

Chevrolet Silverado 1500

The 2024 Silverado offers four engine options depending on the trim level, starting with the base 2.7-liter four-cylinder turbo that makes 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. Next is a 5.3-liter V-8 delivering 355 horsepower and a torque of 383 lb-ft. An available 420-horsepower 6.2-liter V-8 generates 460 lb-ft of torque, while a 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbo diesel delivers 305 horsepower and a torque of 495 lb-ft. All engines pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission except the base variant, which mates with an eight-speed automatic variant.

With a maximum available towing capacity of 13,300 pounds, the Silverado 1500 is one of the top contenders in the full-size, light-duty pickup class.

Design and Functionality

Depending on the trim, the F-150 and Silverado are available with three cab and bed sizes. Upper-level models have luxury features such as leather upholstery and wood trim.
