Red F-150 Rattler

The 2023 Ford F-150 Rattler

Distinctly Rugged Design

With a uniquely desert-themed build, the Ford Rattler offers a modern take on the best-selling Ford F-150 XL trim. The exterior features 18-inch black-painted aluminum wheels covered in all-terrain tires, and skid plates make traveling new roads easy. A striking snakeskin graphic print on the side of the bed, accented with a “Rattler” pattern on the fenders, makes for an adventurous design of an all-American classic. In addition, the Ford Rattler offers powerful hauling abilities with either a six-foot-six-inch bed or a five-foot-six-inch bed and various color options, including Antimatter Blue, Stone Gray, Avalanche, Rapid Red TriCoat, and more.

The Rattler package also includes distinct onyx seats lined with bronze stitching and accents on the instrument panel for a bold desert-themed style. USB ports, Wi-Fi hotspots, and Bluetooth connectivity are all included in the XL trim of the Rattler, giving it a contemporary take on a standard interior. The 8-inch touch screen is user-friendly, offers the SYNC infotainment system, and includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. The manually adjustable front seats and cloth upholstery also make for a comfortable experience so you can focus on the road in front of you.

Brawn and Vigor

To power your off-road excursions, the Rattler offers several distinctly dominant options under the hood. The 2.7-liter EcoBoost engine produces 325 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque, and the 5.0-liter V8 Coyote creates 400 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. Notably, the 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost turns out 400 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque, making it the most powerful of the three engines. Each engine gets its power through an impressive 10-speed automatic transmission.

Efficiency and Safety

“Built Ford Tough” means that while you are off-roading, you do not have to worry about your well-being. Safety features such as electronic locking rear differentials and upgraded shock absorbers ensure you can travel on any road. The hill descent control makes all-terrain driving a breeze and allows the driver to set a desired speed between 2 mph and 12 mph to cruise through any landscape. With all this power, fuel efficiency is not sacrificed because of the Rattler fuel economy system. The 2.7-liter turbocharged V6 with four-wheel drive returns 19 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway, and the 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 with four-wheel drive returns 18 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the road. The EPA estimates a fuel economy of 16 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway for the 5.0-liter V8 with four-wheel drive.
