Sales Consultant

Want to be part of our winning team? Bird Kultgen is looking for a friendly, energetic, self motivated individual to join our sales team in a full time position. As a sales consultant, you will use your personal skills to help customers find their next ride!


  • Meet and greet customers, guide them through our needs assessment processes
  • Fully explain products, benefits, and features of vehicles and dealership
  • Utilize customer management system and follow up processes
  • Provide exemplary customer service and build customer relationships
  • Work closely with our team of sales managers, BDC, and sales consultants
  • Maintain appropriate levels of product knowledge and sales training
  • Prepare and deliver sold vehicles to customers, ensure they know how to operate all features
  • Introduce customers to service department, body shop, and Quick Lane
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience

  • Good driving record and current license
  • Excellent verbal abilities with sales focus
  • Basic computer skills including internet based web applications and email
  • Sales experience preferred but not required
  • Excellent ethical and professional standards
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Professional appearance


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Some college or college degree preferred


  • $30,000 base plus commissions. $40,000-$80,000/year anticipated.

Service Technician

Want to be part of our winning team? Bird Kultgen is looking for an experienced, friendly, self motivated individual to join our customer service oriented team. As technician, you will use your diagnostic and mechanical repair skills to get customers back out on the road as quickly as possible!
  • Diagnose concerns and perform repairs with efficiency in accordance with factory standards
  • Examine vehicle and determine if further work is required or recommended
  • Communicate with parts department and obtain needed parts
  • Coordinate with service advisors
  • Participate in Ford training programs, schools, and events
  • Work closely with our team of service managers
  • Other duties as assigned
Skills and Experience
  • Ability to understand safety documents, maintenance and operating instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Write reports and correspondence
  • Effectively present information to managers, customers, and teammates
  • Attention to detail, organized, superior time management
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associates degree or equivalent from 2 year college or technical school, or 6 months of related experience
  • $26.50 per flat rate hour up to 80 hours per 2 weeks
  • $28.50 per flat rate hour 80-90 hours back to first hour (raise at 60 hours for heavy duty technicians)
  • $30.50 per flat rate hour 90+ hours back to first hour (raise at 70 hours for heavy duty technicians)
  • +$2.00 per hour for diesel work
  • Ford Master technicians start at $28.50 per hour
  • Ford Senior Master technicians start at $30.50 per hour

General Manager 

The general manager is responsible for the successful operation of the dealership in accordance with the operating philosophy of the dealership's ownership. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, customer retention, profitability, establishing and maintaining sound business practices, and maintaining a functional work environment. The general manager represents ownership to the employees and provides feedback from the employees to ownership.

Essential Duties 

· Prepares operating plans for and tracks results against the benchmarks and goals
· Makes adjustments as necessary to achieve those objectives and goals and keeps ownership informed on progress and changes to plans if necessary
· Supervises department managers and directs their operations in such a manner as to reduce inter-departmental conflicts and friction and to place the overall good of the dealership first
· Responsible for coaching managers in the functions of management to make them better managers
· Responsible for evaluating and initiating marketing efforts where needed
· Communicates the intent of ownership to employees in a clear, accurate, and effective manner and obtains the employees' compliance with them.
· Recommends to ownership the best way to implement ownership's plans and to provide ownership with honest assessments of people and processes
· Tracks problems and works after their resolution to evaluate whether there are underlying issues of people or process, and if so, take action to remedy them as necessary
· Tracks training and sees that individuals receive sufficient training to perform their job up to standards and to maintain required Ford certifications
· Handles customer concerns that cannot be resolved by department managers
· Handles Customer Viewpoint/ Quick Touch surveys and customer satisfaction needs
· Maintains safety and environmental compliance, performs periodic inspections
· Additional Duties as assigned

Education/ Experience/ Required Skills 

· High school or GED required; BA in Business Administration or similar preferred
· Automotive,Farm, or Heavy Equipment industry background required
· Five years in a supervisory position with departmental responsibilities or equivalent
· Ability to read and comprehend correspondence, safety, health, & environmental regulations, business periodicals, technical manuals, and other complex documents.
· Ability to write clear and concise correspondence and memos; be able to put procedures in writing; write reports; and, be able to correspond with factory representatives in a professional manner.
· Ability to perform complex mathematic operations to include reading and understanding financial statements, performing mathematical computations utilizing algebraic formulations, setting up Excel spreadsheets for analysis, and being able to understand and apply statistical concepts such as the difference between correlation and causation.
· Ability to collect valid data, establish facts, and draw conclusions in order to solve problems in unique situations for which there is no precedent to fall back on.
· Ability to engage in public speaking for performing instruction for employees, at special promotional events, for media relations, at community relations events, and at dealership functions.
